The result of a further development of the F - 84 "Thunderjet" - the F - 84 "Thunderstreak", the F version of which is designed for reconnaissance missions. The "Thunderstreak" differs from its predecessor in that, it has a swept wing instead of a straight wing, reshaped air intakes and cockpit hood and installed a more powerful engine. These fighter-bombers have been in the Air Force arsenal of many NATO countries for a long time. The prototype took off for the first time on June 3, 1950, but technical engine problems delayed the start of series production. It was started only in 1954. In the most difficult period of the Cold War - in 1966 - F - 84F made up about 56% of the fighter-bomber forces of Western Europe. They could carry a very wide range of weaponry. A total of 2,711 units were produced, and the last one was removed from the arsenal of the Air Force in 1991 in Greece.
A well-designed and detailed model of medium complexity represents an aircraft in service of the Air Forces of the Federal Republic of Germany. A model for a modeler of almost any experience, but for beginners it is better to glue it under the supervision of a more experienced colleague and not as one of the first, more complex models. In addition, it is not recommended to make a released chassis and a transparent cabin cover - therefore, the production of cabin equipment will also fall.
