The prototype T-3 was produced in March 1956 and already in June it was presented at the Tushin air parade. In 1960, after prolonged tests and structural repairs, the plane was accepted for service. Production started back in 1958 and the plane received the designation "Su-9". For the first time, these fighters were used for combat purposes in 1960, when they unsuccessfully tried to shoot down an American spy plane U-2, flying over the territory of the USSR. Produced until 1962. The model depicts a Soviet Air Forces fighter.
A medium-complexity, well-detailed model of a fighter, suitable for a modeler of almost any experience, but for beginners it is better to glue it under the supervision of a more experienced colleague and not as one of the first more complex models. In addition, it is not recommended to make a released chassis and a transparent cabin cover - therefore, the production of cabin equipment will also fall. The details of the outer cladding are printed with "metallic" paints.
