The Ki-61 "Hien" (Japanese: "Swallow"), Type 3 Army Fighter, is a single-seat metal-frame fighter of the Imperial Japanese Ground Forces of World War II. Created by Kawasaki Aviation Company under T. Doi in 1941. Adopted by the Imperial Japanese Army Air Force in 1942 at the end. The medium-sized series was produced in 1943-1945. Allied air force name "Tony". The only Imperial Japanese fighter with a liquid-cooled Ha-40 engine. Most of the later fighters were converted to Ki. 100 with the installation of a more reliable air-cooled Mitsubishi "Kinsei" engine.

Chance Vought F4U "Corsair" - a single-seat US fighter of World War II. Designed and manufactured by Chance Vought as well, as Goodyear Aircraft (navy FG-1 deck modification) companies in 1938. The US Navy announced a competition for the next generation of deck fighters, which was won by Chance-Vought. In 1938 in June a contract was signed with the company for the construction of a new fighter prototype.Iin 1940 May 29 pilot Lyman Billiards made a test flight. For the first time in the US aviation industry, electric spot welding was used in the "Corsair" manufacturing process. In 1941 June 3 the Navy signed a contract with the company for the supply of 580 of this type of aircraft. However, the results of the deck tests were unsatisfactory and the Naval command recognized, that the "Corsair" was unsuitable for use as a deck fighter. As a result, the chassis had to be redesigned and the cab raised to improve visibility. The first US Navy VF-12 fighter squadron was formed in 1942 in October. These fighters went into production by Brewster under the designation F3A-1 and Goodyear under the designation FG-1. The modification produced by the latter company did not have a folding wing.

Two models of fighters, that took part in World War II battles on the Pacific front, of medium complexity, well designed and detailed, for intermediate and advanced modelers. However, under the supervision of a more experienced colleague, both the advanced beginner and the modeler with little experience will be able to glue them together perfectly.
