Aircraft manufacturing company "Let Kunovice" started developing the L-410 plane in 1966. At that time the "Aeroflot" airline of the USSR was looking for to replace the Antonov An-2 in a turbojet, which prompted the LET company. After preliminary tests of the L-400 aircraft, a new version was developed, called the L-410 "Turbolet". The prototype XL-410 took off in 1969. April 16. Due to delays in developing a suitable Czech engine (Walter M601), the prototype and first production aircraft were powered by Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-27 engines. After building the M601 engine, it replaced the PT6 engines. A variant of the L-410 aircraft with the M601 engine and Avia V508 three-bladed propellers was named the L-410M. Another variant for "Aeroflot" was the L-410UVP. It featured a shorter takeoff and landing range and could operate at airfields with shorter runways. This feature was provided by the increased area of the wing and rudders. This modification has fewer seats for passengers - only 15 passengers - due to the greater empty mass of the plane and the displacement of the center of mass. They are also used by the Lithuanian Army Military Aviation and one Kaunas passenger transport company.
A simple model of a beautiful airplane with no internal detailing and some simplifications for beginners and less experienced modelers. To make a model without errors and hassles, it is better to work under the supervision of a more experienced modeler.
