The ground attack aircraft Breda Da. 88 "Lince" (Italian - "Lynx") was a high-wing monoplane of metal construction with a retractable undercarriage. The aircraft was powered by two radial internal combustion engines. Serial planes were equipped with two Piaggio P. XI R. C. 40 engines, each of which developed 1000 h. p. power, but it was clearly not enough for the heavy construction of the plane. The excessive weight forced the designers to limit the armament to three 12.7 mm machine guns plus 1 7.7 mm machine gun in the upper turret, serviced by the gunner. Bombs could only be picked up by the plane in the overload version, because at normal flight mass and with a full fuel supply, their plane would not have taken off. The fuel system consisted of 12 fuel tanks, which could be filled with 1379 liters of fuel (4 tanks were placed in the fuselage, three in each wing console and one more in the nacelles). Two 73-liter oil tanks are installed in the wing. In 1939-1940, these airplanes were serially produced by the factories of the "Breda" and "IMAM" companies (part of the "Breda" concern). A total of 147 planes were produced. In June 1940, these planes took part in combat operations in France as airfield destroyers. Insufficient engine power and other design flaws greatly limited the possibilities of using these planes. At the beginning of 1943, their production was stopped.

A sophisticated, well designed and richly detailed model aircraft in a beautiful variegated camouflage for intermediate to advanced modelers. Parts, where needs, are printed with double-sided printing.
