In 1938 company founder and leader Ettore Bugatti established the "Bugatti Aviation Design Department", which immediately took on the ambitious task of designing and manufacturing a high-speed fighter. The plans were then adjusted and the development of a racing aircraft was started with the aim of winning the prestigious German Cup. During its design, a number of non-standard design solutions and innovations in the field of aircraft construction were implemented. World War II prevented the implementation of the plans. In 1940 in June, when the Germans entered Paris, the airplane prototype was about 80% complete, and it was decided to hide it. After the liberation of France, the plane was recalled, but there was no time for racing planes in post-war France. A semi-assembled prototype aircraft was purchased in 1970 by professional Bugatti car restorer Ray Jones and shipped to the United States. There, his engines were removed and used in cars. The plane later found its way to Peter Williams, who sent the semi-dismantled machine to Connecticut, where he began to restore it. The aircraft is now on display at the Oshkosh Aviation Museum (Wisconsin).

We recommend this model for modelers of all experience, under the supervision of a more experienced colleague, this model is capable enough to be assembled by both the advanced beginner and the less experienced modeler. But it won't be an "easy walk".
