A prototype of the new fighter-monoplane „Hurricane” with the number K5083 took off for the first flight on November 6, 1935. The production of serial aircraft began in the second half of 1937. The fighter has been modified several times during production. Initially, the fabric wing cover was replaced with a metal one, and the two-blade wooden propeller was quickly replaced with a three-blade metal one, increasing the area of ruder. With the outbreak of the war, the “Hurricane”, along with the newer “Spitfire”, became a major RAF fighter. These planes withstood the tensest period of the Battle for England in the 1940. In total, over 14,000 copies of this aircraft were produced between 1937 and 1944. Polish divisions in RAF were also armed with “Hurricane” fighters. With such a fighter flew and was shot down by the only Lithuanian Air Force pilot – ace, who became a member of the RAF Romualdas Marcinkus.

The model reproduces the machine no. LF630, flown by Polish pilots in period between 23 April – 31 August 1944 in 309 Polish Fighter-recognition Division. The model details everything, that is possible, but, at the same time, it is not complicated, so it can be assembled even by a novice modeler with experience in constructing slightly more complex models and working under the supervision of a more experienced colleague. You can choose a more complex and simpler option.
