P-39 "Airacobra" - single-engine, metal construction fighter, with a tree-strut landing gear with a front wheel. The barrel of the large-caliber cannon is brought out through a hollow propeller shaft. However, early versions of the fighter did not meet the requirements of the battlefield at the time. After numerous modifications and reconstructions, the D version was produced, which was supplied to the five countries of the anti-Hitler coalition. Most of the P-39s produced were sold to US and Soviet aviation. According to the pilots, the plane was difficult to control, not very popular, but they won many victories, especially on the Eastern Front.
From the publication it is possible to glue together two complete models in four paint options. Three versions of the P-39D-1: skeleton on bomb, skull with helmet, “Miss Helen Flying Jenny”, participated in the campaign in New Guinea (1942-1943). The plane of the P-39K-1 version fought on the Eastern Front, in the Caucasus, pilot Captain A.I. Pokryshkin (White 13). The author of the model project is Waldemar Kalinowski. The model is a modification of the 2009 model of the KW publishing house. Modification includes: revised fuselage shape, changed assembly order of cockpit interior and glazing, new propeller and its shroud, changed wing and fuselage internal frame structure, changed assembly order of center-plate, hatch and landing gear leg details, completely new graphics, cockpit interior color closer to original Bell for the color "Bell Grenn", the font of the letters and numbers is chosen based on the photographs of the surviving specimens. The model is very complex, so we do not recommend it for beginner modelers. Additional elements can be used during operation: cabin covers, pressed out of thin transparent plastic, chassis wheels made of resin or turned from wood – all this will make Your work easier and improve the appearance of the model. The model's camouflage is "worn". Unlike what is written in the instructions, the publication comes with two sets of laser-cut frame parts.
