Tachikawa Ki-36 “Ida”– the Japanese reconnaissance airplane

The Tachikawa Ki-36 (Allied codenamed "Ida") was a reconnaissance-correction aircraft of the Japanese Army during World War II. Built in 1938 and mainly used on the Chinese front. The Ki-36 was used for reconnaissance and attack missions (as a light strike aircraft). Its small dimensions made it ideal for use from small, poorly equipped airfields or landing sites in mountainous areas and jungles. All this was possible due to the short acceleration path - a distance of 230 meters was enough for the plane to take off. 1334 "Ida’s" were produced during World War II. After the war it was used by the Thai Air Force.

A small, but also simple airplane model, which even a modeler with little experience can glue perfectly under the supervision of a more experienced colleague. The model depicts an aircraft of the 8th Auxiliary Division, stationed in the Chokkyo area on ​​present-day Korea with a rather impressive camouflage. Like most of “WAK's” airplanes, the model is designed for beginner modelers, so it is not very complicated, it can still be done without cockpit equipment, with an opaque cockpit hood and with a simplified engine layout. This makes this model suitable for an even wider circle of modelers.
