The Aichi D3A (“Val” in Allied codes) was the main deck dive bomber in the early stages of the war in the Pacific. The D3A prototype took to the air for the first time in January 1938, and serial production began a year later. In total about 1,500 copies of the two versions of this plane (the D3A2 had a more powerful engine) were produced. "Val" was used in all operations of the Japanese fleet between 1941 and 1944: the attack on Pearl Harbor, the battle in the Coral Sea, the Midway operation, the Guadalcanal battles. Most Allied ships were sunk by this type of aircraft. In addition to the American ships sunk in Pearl Harbor, the aircraft carriers “Lexington”, “Yorktown”, “Hornet”, “Hermes”, cruisers HMS “Cornwall”, HMS “Dorsetshire” and a considerable number of smaller ships went to the bottom of the ocean from these planes.

A simple, but well-designed model in terms of graphics and construction, which represents the bomber of the aircraft carrier "Kaga", that participated in the attack on Pearl Harbor. It is intended for modelers of any experience, so a version without a cockpit interior is provided, which, under the supervision of a more experienced colleague, will perfectly stick even a beginner modeler with little experience.
