The Mig-29 fighter prototype took off for the first time on October 6, 1977. The aircraft was supposed to replace the obsolete MiG-21 and MiG-23. The first serial fighters of the USSR AF entered the lineup in 1984. To date more than 1,600 fighters of all versions of this type have been produced, which are used in the arsenals of almost 40 countries around the world. Polis People Republic bought Mig-29 fighters in 1989 - they were 9 single-seat combat fighters and 3 two-seat training planes. Another 10 fighters were bought in the Czech Republic in 1995 (including 1 combat-trainer). In 2002 Poland bought another 24 used DDR AF planes from Germany (4 training ones), but only 14 of them entered service.

A model of medium complexity, excellent graphically and structurally designed, which represents a fighter, purchased from the Czech Republic in December 1995 and served in the 1st Fighter Aviation Regiment. The aircraft was painted in "Czechoslovak" camouflage until 1999, and then repaired to WZL No. 2 in Bydgoszcz and repainted with "Polish" camouflage, which is reproduced in the details of the model. The model is intended for modellers of any experience, so a version without a cabin interior and with an included chassis is provided, which, under the supervision of a more experienced colleague, will perfectly stick even a beginner modeler with little experience. However, this model is much more complicated, than the other models in the WAK "kids" series and therefore requires more patience, care and attention.
