The Hawker “Hunter” was the last subsonic fighter, to be used in the RAF's arsenal. The prototype took off for its first flight in 1951. The aircraft turned out to be very successful and they produced 1972 units (all versions). In addition to Great Britain, the Air Forces of 19 other countries were armed with these fighters (including Belgium, Chile, Iraq, India, Singapore, Sweden), and they were used for the longest time in Lebanon, where the last units were removed from the armament lists even in 2004. The Hawker “Hunter” fought in many military conflicts of the time, the most important of which were the Suez Crisis in 1956, the Second Kashmir War in 1965 and the 7-Day War in 1967. Its counterpart in the socialist world was the MiG-17.

The model is carefully designed and very detailed, so it is only suitable for intermediate and advanced modelers. But by making a model with an opaque cockpit canopy, no cockpit interior, included chassis and unreleased brake panels, and working under the supervision of a more experienced colleague, this model will stick together perfectly even for a modeler with little experience. Only it should not be one of the first models of increased complexity, You glue. The model represents a machine of the RAF 1st Fighter Division, that participated in battles with the Egyptian Air Force during the Suez Crisis of 1956.
