The prototype of the French fighter “Mirage” III took to the air for the first time in 1956. The aircraft is designed on the "clean delta" principle, unlike the MiG-21, which was constructed on a similar principle, it did not have tail height rudders, and their functions were identified with the functions of slots and ailerons and were performed by elevons, installed in the trailing edge of the wing. The aircraft turned out to be very good and, besides France, foreign buyers, such as Germany, Belgium, Holland and Israel, were interested in it. Special versions “Mirage” III CJ (24 units) and training “Mirage” III BJ (4 units) were made for Israel. The Israeli “Mirage” participated in the Yom Kippur War in 1973. In this war the Israeli “Mirage” fought with the Egyptian MiG-17, MiG-19 and MiG-21. The Israeli pilots were well trained and in most cases defeated the Egyptian pilots.

A medium-complexity not-so-large, well-designed and well-detailed model of a medium-sized airplane for intermediate and advanced modelers only. However, working under the supervision of a more experienced colleague and making a model without cockpit equipment, undercarriage niches, the chassis itself, hanging weapons (in the flight phase) and with an opaque cockpit canopy, it will be perfectly glued even by modelers with little experience, who are not making the first more complex model. Excellent graphic instructions, minimal color reserve, the airplane is reproduced in the model almost new - with very minor traces of use. Aluminum "Metallic" type paint printing was used, where necessary. From the publication can be made model a plane with the serial number "159" and which achieved 13 victories in the Yom Kippur War. Now this plane is exhibited in one of the Israeli museums.
