The PWS-10 was designed as a replacement for the aging French SPAD 61C1 fighters. The main problem of the "SPADs", that were in service, was their flimsiness of construction, which, together with insufficient structural strength, caused the wing to break off during aerobatics and the resulting catastrophes. The PWS-10 had a reinforced structure and a reliable engine, which increased flight safety. But its construction was quite heavy, the efficiency of the ailerons was too low to perform the functions of a fighter. All this had a negative impact on the performance of aerial acrobatics figures, such as a barrel or spinner. Therefore, the PWS-10 was treated as a transitional aircraft. It was used in fighter squadrons in 1932-1933 and served, until the PZL P.7 fighter service began. A more advanced version, designated PWS-10M1, was built on the basis of the serial production aircraft. The design of the landing gear, the shape of the tail planes, and the total weight of the plane have been exchanged and reduced. The engine cooling system has also been improved by making changes to the coolant and lubricant system. The prototype was tested at the Aviation Technical Test Institute (Instytut Badań Technicznych Lotnictwa), where it was evaluated positively. Due to the relatively low flight characteristics and the introduction of P.7 aircraft into service, further development work on this fighter was stopped. About 20 PWS-10s were sold to Spain during its Civil War (officially Portugal bought the planes). About 10 PWS-10s received the September 1939 events at Demblin, when they used in aerial gunnery training. In the September battles, due to low combat characteristics, use only for patrol flights.

A complex, albeit not very large, well-designed and well-detailed model of a medium-sized airplane, which, due to the complex shapes of fuselage and wing mountings, will only suit intermediate and advanced modelers. Excellent graphic instructions, no color stock, the plane is a little - "worn" - with minor traces of use.
