The Westland “Whirlwind” was the RAF's first twin-engine fighter. The prototype took to the air for the first time on October 11, 1938. It was a fast and well-armed plane, but, because of the not the best engines, it was not very suitable for fighter battles at high altitudes. Only 116 aircraft were produced in total, which were flown by 137 and 263 divisions of the RAF and were used as fighter and attack aircraft, which, in addition to battles with Luftwaffe fighters, also attacked enemy warships in the English Channel.
A complex, although not very large, well-designed and well-detailed model of a medium-sized aircraft, which will only be suitable for intermediate and experienced modelers. From the publication you can make a model of a machine, that participated in the battles against the Germans in the autumn of 1940 as part of the RAF 263 division. Excellent graphic instructions, there is a considerable reserve of colors, the plane is "worn" - with quite significant traces of use.
