The de Havilland Canada DH-1 Chipmunk is designed as the primary training aircraft for the RAF, Royal Canadian AF and Royal Australian AF aviation schools. In service they replaced de Havilland “Tiger Moth” biplanes. In total about 1300 examples of this plane were produced between 1946 and 1961 (produced in Canada, Great Britain and Portugal). Used in aviation schools in more, than twenty countries. Its designer is the Polish Wsewold Jakimiuk (who also designed the PZL P.50 "Jastrząb"). To this day a number of DHC-1 planes, the owners of which are private individuals, are still flying.
An uncomplicated, compact, well-designed and well-detailed model of a small plane, that is perfect for modelers of all experience levels. Only beginners and modelers with little experience should glue it under the supervision of a more experienced colleague, and beginners should not do cockpit interior detailing and transparent cabin canopy glasses. This model is one of those, that is perfect as the first model of increased complexity in Your modeling career. The publication can be used to make a model of the DHC-1 “Chipmunk” in the typical camouflage, used by Royal Canadian Air Force schools.
