Hawker "Fury" was an interwar British fighter. It was a biplane scheme aircraft; it had a mixed construction and a fixed landing gear of a classic layout. The machine first took to the air in 1931. In the same year, serial production began, during which 275 fighters of this type were produced. The aircraft was powered by a 660 h.p. Rolls-Royce “Kestrel” engine and armed with two 7.7 mm “Vickers” machine guns. The “Fury” was developed by “Hawker Aircraft” in response to the British Air Ministry's specification for a new fighter in the late 1920s. In order to reduce costs and shorten the period of testing and development, the manufacturer decided to use the prototype of the F.20 / 27 aircraft and adapt it to a new engine Rolls-Royce “Kestrel”. The machine, created in this way, won the competition for the state order, its rival was the machine of the “Fairey” company. Serial production began almost immediately. In 1935, a modernized version (“Fury” Mk. II) appeared, which had: a new “Kestrel” engine variant, improved cooling system, new chassis design and larger fuel tanks. In the early 1930s, the Hawker “Fury” proved to be an excellent machine with a high maximal speed and great maneuverability. However, it was expensive to produce and for this reason the RAF preferred the much cheaper, albeit inferior, “Bristol”-made “Bulldog” fighter. However, the Hawker "Fury" proved successful for export - they were used in the aviation of Iran, Yugoslavia and Portugal. Hawker "Fury" participated in combat operations during the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939) and during the German invasion of Yugoslavia in 1941.
The details of the model, printed in the publication, recreate an aircraft, used in the Spanish Civil War by the Military Aviation of the Republican Armed Forces. It is not very complicated model and under the supervision of a more experienced colleague, even a novice modeler, who has glued several more complex models will be able to glue this model perfectly, just remember that this is a biplane. And they have their own problems.
