The “PWS-3” was built in 1927 at the “Podlaskie Aircraft Plant” (PWS) and was the first sports aircraft to be manufactured in Poland. It was designed by engineer Stanislaw Cywinski. The first flight took off on May 20, 1927 from the factory aerodrome. After this flight, the vertical steering surfaces is raised. In 1928, a new wing with rounded ends and ailerons of a different construction was installed and the rudder was raised again. The plane is painted white and red and has SP-AEA marks and is named “Franek”. He flew until 1934 as an official aircraft of the company, later transferred to the PWS aeroclub. This 1934 transferred him to the Museum of Technology and Industry in Warsaw.
A small series of these aircraft was produced. A simple but demanding model, that will be easily assembled by any experienced modeler.
