Z. 506 "Airone" (Italian: airone - winch) - Italian seaplane - maritime scout, bomber and torpedo aircraft, was a monoplane of wooden construction with three engines. Z. 506B - military modification (B - bombardment), 314 units were produced. The Z-506 fought on all the fronts of the Mediterranean region. In addition to reconnaissance and maritime rescue missions, these planes also performed the tasks of submarine hunting, coastal patrolling and escorting convoys.
