Kaman "K-MAX" (another designation: "K-1200") is a modern American multipurpose helicopter with propellers, arranged in the so-called “Flettner” system - interchangeable - and a fixed landing gear. The machine is equipped with one “Allied Signal” T-53-17A-1 engine, the power of which reaches 1800 h. p. The helicopter took off for the first time in 1991 and was produced from 1991 to 2003 and updated again in 2015. Kaman “K-MAX” was designed to be used for military purposes: communication support, reconnaissance, light cargo transportation. But the military lost interest in this machine and withdrew from the project, and the “Kaman” firm decided to recycle the helicopter and offer it to the civilian market, which ended up being a great commercial success. “K-MAX”, reconstructed in this way, serves in firefighting services, forest transportation and construction of drilling platforms. It is worth noting, that in 2007 the company "Kaman", together with "Lockheed Martin" started the construction of an unmanned helicopter - a drone. And this cooperation bore great fruit, and for the first time this type of flying machine was tested in 2011 in Afghanistan.

A moderately complex, well-detailed and well-designed model of a firefighting helicopter. All equipment, cabin interior perfectly restored. There is a Russian instruction. The model is intended for modelers of any experience. Only beginners and modelers with little experience should glue this model under the supervision of a highly experienced colleague, and they are not recommended to do the interior of the cockpit and the transparent hood of the cockpit.
