With the construction and introduction of the UH-1 “Iroquois” helicopter in the army, it became possible to put the idea of air cavalry into practice. This method of combat allowed large numbers of troops to be thrown over long distances quickly and safely, allowing specific locations and times to be chosen for battle with the enemy. However, the “Iroquois” were unarmed or under-armed and needed a fast, maneuverable, tooth-armed combat helicopter to cover their raids. This was particularly acute in the Vietnam War. On September 3, 1965, the “Bell” company produced the first prototype of a light combat helicopter, for which the army ordered 110 units as early as April 1966. In June 1967, the first AH-1G “Huey Cobra” was introduced. Between 1967 and 1973, “Bell” produced 1,126 helicopters for the army, 279 of which were lost during the Vietnam War. Later, the helicopters were modernized, new versions were produced. “Cobras” have been used in many conflicts and military operations. Even in the "Desert Storm", they still did a great job. This type of helicopter is still used by the armed forces of many countries around the world.

A well-designed and highly detailed helicopter model of medium complexity, suitable even for an advanced novice modeler, working under the supervision of a more experienced colleague. There is a choice of three armament options.
