The Fl-282 was the first helicopter to be used in combat during World War II and was manufactured in Germany by Anton Fletner. In 1942, Fl - 282 was recruited in Kriegsmarine. The first prototype of this type was the Fl - 282 - V5 prototype, which was tested from the deck of the “Koln” cruiser in the Baltic Sea. At the beginning of 1943, about 20 devices of this type had already served on various ships. The main task was to protect convoys from enemy attacks in the Mediterranean, Aegean and Baltic Seas. The Land Forces also used these helicopters to repair artillery fire. Several machines were still used in the defense of Berlin in April 1945.
There are two models of medium complication, depicting two different machines: the Fl - 282B - 2V23 and the Fl - 282A, and although they look quite complicated, even a model, that has assembled several models, can be a great hassle. But for beginners, it would be good to have a more experienced colleague nearby.
