The US ground forces felt the need for a new combat helicopter during the Vietnam conflict. And already in 1967 the first machines, marked Bell AH-1G "Cobra" were in service on the battlefield. They proved to be excellent in destroying armored vehicles and artillery positions. During the almost fifty years of service the helicopter has been modernised many times and as a result new versions of the helicopter have been produced: AH-1J, AH-1S, AH-1F, AH-1W. "Cobras" participated in numerous combat missions during the invasion of Grenada (1983), fighting in Somalia during the operation "Restore Hope" (1993), "Desert Storm" in Iraq. Exported to Israel, Japan, Greece, Spain, Iran, Jordan, South Korea, Pakistan, Thailand, Taiwan and Turkey. It is still used in the armed forces of many of these countries.
The model reproduces the Japan Self-Defense Forces ground unit helicopter no. 73472, manufactured under license at the "Fuji Heavy Industries" factory in 1984 - 2000. A model of medium complexity, where the most attention should be paid to the equipment of the cabin and the correct attachment of the undercarriage. The model reproduces the appearance of a moderately used helicopter and really "bites" even for advanced beginners and modelers with little experience, working under the supervision of a more experienced colleague. For modelers with little experience we recommend making the interior of the cabin, hanging weapons as a selected option: it will work - HURAH!!!, it won't work - we make the glasses opaque, we don't hang the weapons...
