PZL Mi-2 “Wilczek” - the Polish multi - purposse helicopter

The Mi-2 is a light multi-purpose helicopter, designed in 1961 by the USSR Mil Construction Bureau. In 1964, a contract was signed, under which these helicopters were licensed to start production at the PZL Swidnik plant in Poland (some components - engine, gears and reducers - were manufactured in Poland). The first helicopter, made in Poland from parts, made in the USSR, took off on November 4, 1965. Initially, all specimens were produced exclusively for export to the USSR. Many versions of the helicopter were produced: agricultural, sanitary, transport, arctic, television, training and combat.

The model from the publication depicts the KGP helicopter of the Lodz Police Aviation Team, built in 1972. The helicopter "starred" in the 07 series TV response. Despite a respectable age, it has been repaired several times and remains in service to this day. Not a very complex helicopter model, well designed and detailed, suitable for modelers of any experience, except complete beginners. We recommend, that inexperienced modelers assemble this model without internal equipment and with opaque "glass" and are supervised by a more experienced colleague.
