In 1955, “Bell” won a tender to design a military light transport and fire support helicopter for the U.S. Army. Thus began the history of one of the best combat helicopters of its time. The first flight took on October 20, 1956. At first demonstrated in public in 1959, in March 1960, the U.S. Army ordered a series of 100 units, and mass production of this helicopter began. Used in the Vietnam War and subsequent conflicts, involving the U.S. Army. Delivered to a large number of foreign countries, where they are still often in armaments.
A beautiful, moderately sophisticated, well-designed and detailed model of a helicopter, involved in the Vietnam War, which can be made by an advanced novice modeler under the supervision of a more experienced colleague. The publication is completed with a set of laser-cut 1 mm thickness cardboard frame parts.
