The “Merle” was made in 1938 by Munich academics as a participant in the 1940 Helsinki Olympics. He competed with the “Orlik” glider and took 3rd place, “Orlik” was second. Until the 20th century in the mid-1960s, “Merle” successfully competed and set records (in 1963, pilot Ludwig Karch performed a flight to 500 km).
A simple but well-designed glider model for beginner and intermediate modelers and all non-motorized flying enthusiasts. Two different scale (1:33 and 1:50) models can be produced from the publication.
