In the autumn of 1928 the Kharkiv State Plant received a government order to produce a pilot "maneuverable" tank (1-12-32), designed by the main design office of the Automobile Industry Engineering. The maneuvering tank, which was given the designation T-12, during the production process, was designed as a twin-turret fighting machine. The T-12 was produced almost completely without the necessary special equipment, by the hands of qualified specialists in tractor production. Despite the difficulties and the lack of experience, the production of the prototype proceeded rapidly and was completed at the end of 1929. Factory tests of the T-12 began in January 1930 and official tests began in February 1930. Since the manufactured tank was heavier, than the design one (20 t instead of 16 t) and had a number of shortcomings, the team of the tank group, which had doubled in size by that time, urgently began to rework it. A fundamental reworking of the design of the T-12 tank, considering the test results, practically led to the creation of a new tank project. In addition to the increase in mobility parameters (reduced weight and comparative pressure on the ground, increased engine power and speed), a fourth machine gun was installed on the front armor plate to the left of the mechanic-driver, and a gunner's place was installed. The armament of the tank turned out to be arranged on three floors, which was completely new in the practice of world tank production. The new tank began to be designated T-24.

A well-designed model, painted in monochrome camouflage, with light traces of use. Tracks from separate tracks, no internal equipment. The model is not very complicated, but advanced beginners and modelers with little experience are recommended to glue it only under the supervision of a more experienced colleague. But it will require the use of all reserves of patience, diligence, and attentiveness.
