T-70 - the Soviet light tank of World War II. The first prototypes of this combat vehicle were produced in 1941-1942 and serially produced in 1942-1943. About 8,250 tanks of this type were produced. The weight of the machine in the basic version was up to 9.2 tons. Two GAZ-202 engines were installed in the tanks of the basic version, the power of each was 70 h. h. The armament of the combat vehicle consisted of a 1938 sample 45 mm cannon 20K and one DT 7.62 mm machine gun. The T-70 light tank was developed as a deep modernization of the T-60. The new fighting machine is equipped with a completely new power unit, a slightly elongated body and dependent chassis suspension. The T-70 also had a new turret and improved armor. Tanks of this type were mainly produced in factories, located in Gorky, Leningrad "Kirov" and Sverdlovsk. The T-70 was modernized only once and such a tank was designated T-70M. It featured an improved undercarriage, new tracks and a greater number and quality of battlefield observation devices for use by the driver-mechanic and tank commander. It is worth noting, that the excellent self-propelled artillery vehicles SU-76 and SU-76M were developed on the T-70 chassis. T-70 tanks were also used by Wojsko Polskie (53 units). The 1st Armored Brigade of Westerplatte Heroes was armed with them. They fought in the Battle of Studzianki. The 1st Reconnaissance Battalion of the 1st Wojsko Polskie Army, which participated in the battles for Wal Pomorski, was also armed with these tanks.

A well-designed and richly detailed model of a tank from the Battle of Studziankai without internal equipment. The model is intended for modelers of any experience, but beginners and those, with little experience, are recommended to work under the supervision of a more experienced colleague and this should not be one of Your first more complex models. The most complicated part, as in all models of tracked machinery, is the manufacture of the chassis and tracks.
