In the 1930s the main Polish reconnaissance tanks were the TK-3 and TKS tankettes, but they were poorly armed and therefore of little combat value. In 1935 it was decided to modernize this type of weapon. Therefore, the State Engineering Workshop was ordered to construct two prototypes: floating (PZInž - 130) and reconnaissance (PZInž. 140) tanks. In December 1936 the documentation of the reconnaissance tank was already prepared. Later, the tank was designated 4TP (4 tons, Polish) and in August 1937 the unarmed prototype was handed over to the army for testing. After the autumn tests, the prototype was returned to eliminate the observed defects, in May 1938 the tests were continued and their results were good, and a decision was made to produce it in series, and by 1942, 480 units will be produced, but these plans were not realized.
A simple and small model, a "biteable" model for modelers with little experience. However, the model is richly detailed and fully reproduces the image of a real tank. We recommend, that beginner and novice modelers do this model under the supervision of a more experienced modeler.
