“Leopard 2” is the main German tank, produced since 1979 and replaced the previous “Leopard 1” tanks. This tank belongs to the post-war III generation of tanks along with the M1 “Abrams”, T-80 and “Challenger”. More than 3,600 copies of all versions of tanks were produced. The “Leopard” 2A5 entered service in 1995 and was the first major modernization of the “Leopard 2”. The biggest changes were in the area of the tower, the mass increased by 3 tons, the electronics were updated. Now the Polish Army has acquired 105 2A5 and 142 2A4 version tanks.
A simple, but well-designed model in terms of graphics and construction, which represents a tank with the serial number 1049 of the 34th Armored Cavalry Brigade, which is based in Zagan. A beginner modeler will stick to it perfectly under the supervision of a more experienced colleague.
