Sd.Kfz. 304 (German Sonderkraftfahrzeug 304) "Springer" - a German tracked self-propelled explosives carrier of the Second World War. The first prototypes were probably created in 1944, serial production took place in 1944-1945, ending with the production of about 50 units of this atypical combat machine. The self-propelled mine was powered by a 1.5-liter Opel "Olimpia" engine. The explosives carrier could transport up to 300-330 kilograms of explosive charges. Sd.Kfz. 304 was developed based on the chassis and suspension of the Kfz.2 "Ketenkraftrad" - motorcycle-transporter. The main change was the removal of the front wheel and the addition of armored shields to protect the engine, driver's cabin and explosive device. "Springer" armor was up to 10 mm thick. His main task was to destroy the enemy's fortified points of resistance. The combat use of Sd.Kfz. 304 was very risky due to the fact, that the driver drove it to a distance of about 1,500-2,000 meters to the target, after which he directed the combat vehicle to the desired object by radio communication. The explosive carrier was not very successful due to problems with radio control, as well as the very high cost of production, which was far too high for a single-use weapon.

A small, uncomplicated, well-designed and richly detailed model of an atypical combat vehicle for modellers of all experience. Only advanced beginners and modelers with little experience are recommended to work under the supervision of a more experienced modeler. Detailed driver's seat, chassis, exterior detailing, it is possible to choose the track production method: from individual tracks or strip. There is a considerable stock of colors. The graphic instruction is good, although not exemplary, the text is small, but detailed, in Polish.
