In 1939 the British Department of Defense issued a specification for a light military truck, on the basis of which a car designed in Canada, received the designation 15CWT, which meant a carrying capacity of 15 centners (about 750 kg). This project has been approved by the British War Office and is headed for serial production. Despite the fact, that traffic in Canada is on the right hand side, the British ordered cars with the control equipment on the right hand side and adapted to traffic on the left hand side, which is valid in Britain. Production took place in branches of "Chevrolet" and "Ford" plants in Canada. In total more, than 815 thousand trucks of this type were produced with different types of bodies and engines, as well, as armored and unarmored artillery tractors. Installed 6-cylinder or 8-cylinder V-shaped gasoline engines, different cabs (No. 11, No. 12 and the most popular No. 13).
A well-designed and well-detailed model of medium difficulty for modelers of all experience. Only beginners and modelers with little experience are recommended to work under the supervision of a more experienced colleague and take their time. It is also possible to make a model without engine detailing, to simplify suspension elements, not to make cabin equipment and to make opaque glasses. The model recreates a truck with a 101-inch wheelbase, designed to carry 3/4-ton cargo. It is equipped with a Type 13 cab and a metal cargo platform. Cabin 13 was distinguished by a front glass, fixed at an inverse angle, which was supposed to reduce the reflection of the sun and other rays in the direction of movement (reducing the possibility of detection from the plane). Perfectly restored chassis, engine compartment, cabin equipment, exterior detailing. The model is painted with the camouflage of the 2nd Canadian Infantry Division from the Normandy landings in 1944.
