Sd. Kfz. 251/22 (7,5 cm PaK 40 L/46 auf m.SPW) «Pakwagen» - a tank destroyer with a 75 mm caliber gun 7.5 cm PaK 40. At the end of 1944 Hitler ordered the production of tank destroyers from all suitable armored vehicles. In its edition, using a similar mounting device, as in the armored car Sd. Kfz. 234/4, in armored transporter Sd. Kfz. 251 mounted 75 mm caliber anti-tank guns 7.5 cm PaK 40 L/46. Along the sides of the hull, two large steel girders are installed, sloping towards the rear. This was the basis for mounting the PaK 40 cannon. The cannon remained almost the same, as the towed version, but did not have a chassis. It was one of the most effective German anti-tank guns, capable of piercing the armor of any Allied tank. In order to increase the rotation angle of the cannon, the side armor was lowered from the bottom. A portion of the top plates above the driver have also been removed to increase the full travel of the recoil suppressor cylinders at any firing angle. Although it was possible to keep the height of the armored car low, the transporter was too heavy due to the heavy weight of the cannon. The layout of the equipment in the battle compartment of the armored car has changed a lot. Three of the four benches and the machine commander's seat have been eliminated, a rack for storing shells has been installed at the rear right. The crew of 4 had an MG 42 machine gun in their arsenal for defense against enemy infantry. Serial production of armored vehicles of this version began in December 1944.

A model of medium complexity, well detailed, requiring care and attention, for intermediate and advanced modelers. Model with combat and engine compartment detailing, perfectly restored chassis, exterior details. The model represents a machine, that has already participated in combat operations. There is a large reserve of colors - a full sheet. Excellent graphic instruction.
