Sd. Kfz.251/1 Ausf.C - the German armored transporter

Multipurpose semi-tracked armored transporter Sd. Kfz. 251/1 HKL 6p is specially designed for mechanized Wehrmacht infantry units. It was supposed to make it easier for the infantry to recover as close, as possible to the enemy's defensive lines, protecting the soldiers with their armor from rifles, machine gun bullets and shrapnel. The finished chassis of the “Hanomag” artillery tractor was used in the production of the armored car. It was an excellent design and soon a number of machines for other purposes were built on its basis. There were four versions of this armored car: A, B, C differed slightly - only in a few elements, and D, which appeared before the end of the war, was a greatly simplified machine of the C version.

A sophisticated, well-designed, full interior (even engine compartment detailing), with exploitation traces, model for experienced and intermediate modelers. As always, where there are tracks, is where all the complexity begins, and where there are German WWII-era tracks, that complexity grows twice.
