In 1920 the Polish army already had tanks and armored trains, but it was much worse with armored cars. The scarce fleet of this equipment, that was taken over, often broke down, and there was nowhere to get spare parts. Attempts to buy them abroad or to make them ourselves did not bring results. The lack of this technique was most acutely manifested, when Poland launched an attack on Ukraine on April 26, 1920. This situation forced the engineer Tadeusz Tanski to start designing an armored car. For its production an appropriately reinforced Ford T chassis was chosen. The prototype was produced in June 1920 in just two weeks from the design. In the next few days, the tests are carried out and the car is accepted for serial production under the name Ford Tfc. They are manufactured at the Gerlach i Pulst factory in Warsaw and produced up to 17 units. He finished his service in 1927-1928.
A simple, but well-designed and fun model, perfect for a modeler of any experience. Even an advanced beginner can glue it on his own.
