"BTR-60" is a Soviet armored transporter, constructed in 1956-1959 for arming motorized infantry units. It was supposed to replace the outdated “BTR-152”, from which the new machine differed in increased cross-country ability, which allowed it to drive on the battlefield after tanks, and in the fact, that it was floating. “BTR-60” became the first of the series of Soviet 4-axle armored transporters, the production of which, only with new modifications, continues to this day. "BTR-60" was serially produced, repeatedly modernized, from 1960 to 1976 at the Gorky Automobile Plant, then at the Kurgan Machine-Building Plant, produced until 1987. It was the main armored transporter of the Soviet motorized rifle units in the 1960s, which was replaced by the more modern “BTR-70” and “BTR-80” in the 1970s and 1980s. Wide use of Soviet soldiers in the war in Afghanistan and other armed conflicts. It was used in the armed forces of the USSR, Romania and about 10 other countries, it was used in many regional conflicts and, despite the fact, that it was constantly replaced with updated equipment, in 2007 it was still in the arsenal of 47 countries of the world (including the Lithuanian Army). Modification "BTR-60PB" could carry a smaller (8 people) landing party, but its armament was strengthened - KPVT 14.5 mm and PKT 7.62 mm caliber machine guns were installed in the rotating turret and many other improvements were made.

The model is characterized by a large number of details, the transmission and other external details have been restored in detail, there is no detailing of the interior and engine compartment. The model is intended for intermediate and advanced modelers. After a little work with computer finishing programs, you can make another excellent model of the equipment, used in Lietuvos Kariuomenė – Lithuanian Armed Forces.
