BTR-4 “Bucephalus” is a wheeled infantry fighting vehicle, designed by the Morozov Machine Building Project Bureau in Kharkiv, Ukraine. The prototype, which was designed as a private initiative, was presented to the public at the exhibition "Aviasvit 2006", which took place in June 2006 in Kyiv. Serial production started at the end of 2008. The first series of ten BTR-4 vehicles entered service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 2009. In 2012 the Iraqi Ministry of Defense ordered 420 Ukrainian BTR-4Es, but only 88 units were delivered. The other 52 manufactured armored vehicles were taken over by the Ukrainian army. At the turn of May-June 2014 these BTR-4s fought in the battles near Slowiansk and Donetsk. To date about 700 units of several versions of the BTR-4 have been produced and, in addition to the Ukrainian army, they are in service in Nigeria, Indonesia and Iraq.
A complex, well-detailed model, that requires care and attention, for intermediate and advanced modelers. Model without interior equipment, perfectly restored with all exterior and chassis details. From the publication it is possible to make a model of a well "used" armored fighting vehicle of the BTR-4E1 version. Great graphic instructions, no color stock.
