Mercedes-Benz C DTM (Kurt Thimm) – the German racing car

The Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft - DTM was a touristic car racing series, that took place from 1984 to 1996 in Germany. The races were mainly held on German tracks and on tracks of several other European countries. The DTM racing formula was renewed again in 2000, but the rules were changed at the initiative of Audi, Opel and Mercedes. Since that year DTM stands for Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters. Since 2014, when the rules were unified, the DTM has merged with the “Super GT” series in Japan, allowing teams to race cars of the same construction in both series.

The model is not very complicated, so it can be recommended to a modeler of any experience, but a tip for the inexperienced: assemble the model under the supervision of a more experienced colleague - it will be both easier and more fun. There is interior equipment, there is no detailing of the engine compartment, the chassis is simplified, color reserve. The main difficulty is dividing the body into many segments in order to convey the shape more accurately.
