GAZ-14 "Chaika" ("The Seagull") is a luxury light service car of the USSR, intended for use by the highest-ranking officials of the state and the party. The car evolved from the previous model GAZ-13 "Chaika". The main structural structure (semi-carrying body, attached to an "X"-shaped frame) was taken over from the predecessor, the engine and its organization were slightly modernized. Production began in 1977 with approximately 100 units produced each year. Until 1981, the previous model GAZ-13 was also produced in parallel. The last GAZ-14 left the factory on December 24, 1988 and was the 1114th copy of this brand. In addition to the standard version of the limousine body, several examples of cabriolets, designated GAZ-14-05, were produced for the reception of military parades. In these cars, instead of additional seats, a console with microphones was installed. 4 copies were processed into ambulances at the Riga Automobile Factory (RAF). Two of them were dedicated to the Cuban leader Fidel Castro, two to the government health service of the USSR.
A complex and well-detailed model with full "mince": perfectly equipped interior, engine compartment, trunk, chassis. Matt and glossy versions of the body are available, chrome parts are printed with "metallic" paint. There is an instruction in Russian. However, if an advanced beginner or a modeler with little experience works under the supervision of a more experienced colleague and does not make the interior and engine compartment equipment, but simplifies the chassis a little and makes opaque windows, then this model "bites" for them too.
