The “McLaren” team (officially called: “McLaren Honda Formula 1 Team” in the 2016/2017 F1 season) is a British racing team, based in the British city Woking. The team was founded in 1963 by New Zealand engineer and racing driver Bruce McLaren. During the 50 years of its existence the team has achieved a lot in Formula 1 races: 8 World Constructors' Cups, 12 times its drivers became World Champions, 163 Grand Prix races won! The team, together with “Ferrari” and “Williams”, is classified as one of the most successful teams in the entire " Formula 1" history. The team achieved its first major victories at the end of the sixties of the 20th century. After the death of Bruce McLaren in 1970, the team began a temporary decline, but already in 1974 the first Constructors' Cup was won. The eighties of the 20th century were fruitful for the team and brought regular championship titles. The crisis started in 1993-1996, but due to the cooperation with “Mercedes” (specifically with the concern "Daimler-Benz") in 1997, the team rose again to the heights. This cooperation ended in 2015, and since then the main partner of the “McLaren” team is the “Honda” concern. Such talented drivers as Luis Hamilton or Jenson Button and Fernando Alonso raced in this team's cars.
A moderately complex, but well-detailed and well-designed model of a racing car, that can be put together by a modeler of any experience - even the advanced beginner. It is better for a beginner and a modeler with little experience to glue this model under the supervision of a more experienced colleague - advice is always useful.
