Chevrolet "Impala" is an American large passenger car, produced by the "Chevrolet" division of the GM corporation from 1958 to 1985 and from 1994 to 1996, and from 1999 to 2020. The car occupied different positions in the company's model range, depending on the year of production. Until 1965, the "Impala" was Chevrolet's most expensive passenger car. A sports modification "Impala" SS («Super Sport») was also produced. From 1964 to 1967 it was positioned as a separate model, and in other periods it was presented as a configuration option. 10 generations of this model are counted. 1965-70 cars are classified as 4th generation. Unlike the previous somewhat ascetic 1962-1964 "Impala", the next generation had a distinctly aggressive design with so-called "coke bottle" (with a break above the rear wheel arch) side panel lines, typical of the second half of the sixties. The side windows became curved, without frames in the upper part (before that, the frames went down with the glass). The model range again includes a convertible, a coupe, two- and four-door "hardtops", a four-door sedan and a station wagon. The choice of engines and transmissions has also been greatly expanded. The "Super Sport" modification was distinguished by a cabin with separate seats and a central console, a wide glossy molding with a black insert ending under the rear light blocks. Great in the American imagination of the time, the 1965 body was used for a very long time. In 1967 its style was changed: it acquired a more sculptural appearance - the sides of the body were slightly flattened, lights integrated into the radiator facing and large cornering lights near the headlights were installed - the car began to look much more harmonious and aggressive. The rear light units from that year were no longer round, replaced by wide, horizontal three-section light units with tapered edges. 1967 hardtop sedan, painted black, used in the filming of the "Unreal" TV series. In 1967-68 new laws forced manufacturers to work hard to increase the safety of their products. In that year "Impala" cars began to be equipped with a safe deformable steering column, padded interior trim panels and dashboard, turn signal repeater lights, and three-point seat belts (only in closed-body cars). In 1969 the last SS version of the "Impala" appeared, with disc front brakes as standard equipment. After that, the production of cars of this name was stopped for a long time.

Well detailed (interior, engine compartment and trunk, transmission and chassis, exterior detailing) and designed medium-complexity model of a historic car for modelers of all experience. True, advanced beginners and modelers with little experience are recommended to work under the supervision of a more experienced colleague, and this should not be one of the first models of increased complexity, You glue. By the way, less experienced modelers may not do interior, engine compartment and trunk equipment (glasses must be made opaque), but we recommend, that You try to assemble all this - it will work - GREAT, it will not work... Where necessary, the details are double-sided printed, there is a small black color stock. The graphic instruction is excellent.
