At the beginning of the last century, the German motorization industry developed rapidly, but it was dominated by two companies: "Daimler" and "Benz". The first "Daimler" cars were named after the owner of the company. Since the beginning of the merger process of these two companies, which began in 1902, all cars have been called "Mercedes". This name is derived from the name of the daughter of Emil Jelinka, who represented the company "Daimler" in Italy. One of the first cars of the merged firm was the Mercedes "Simplex", which began production in 1902. The passenger version is called Mercedes "Simplex - Wagen". In 1904 the touring version Mercedes "Simplex - Tourenwagen" was put on the market, which had an open four-seater body, the engine was mounted in the front. The movement was transmitted to the rear drive axle by a chain drive, the car is equipped with a 4-speed + reverse gearbox. It was placed in a common sump with the main drive and timing gear. The wheels are wooden, the tires are inflatable. The wheel hubs were already equipped with ball bearings.
A well-designed and richly detailed model for modelers of all experience, beginners only (this cannot be one of the first models, made by modelers of this experience) and modelers with little experience are recommended to work under the supervision of a more experienced colleague. Perfectly detailed transmission, engine compartment, all car equipment. Double-side printing and "metallic" bronze paint printing were used, where appropriate. Excellent graphic and semi-minimalist textual instructions, there is a stock of colors.
