In 1997 the Volkswagen W12 "Syncro" concept car was presented at the Tokyo Motor Show. This mid-engine all-wheel drive super-car was intended to demonstrate the company's technical capabilities and was supposed to be a good "trim" for the new 12-cylinder "W" engine. The Volkswagen W12 was designed by the Italian studio "Italdesign" - it has an impressive appearance, a huge side - windshield are installed along the entire length of the cabin, lift-able doors. The 5.6 l engine developed 420 h. p. power.  In 1998 the "Roadster" version with an open body and rear-wheel drive debuted and in 2001 another W12 version appeared with a 600 h. p. power generating engine. "Volkswagen" planned to release a small series of 50 cars of this model, one of which was supposed to cost 200,000 dollars, but the car remained only a concept. And the W12 engine was later installed under the hoods of serial Volkswagen "Phaeton", Volkswagen "Touareg", Audi A8 and Bentley "Continental" models.

A good-looking, not too complex, well-designed and quite richly detailed, but very laborious and careful model of a beautiful car, that can be completed by a modeler of any experience, except for beginners. For advanced beginners and modelers with little experience we recommend gluing this model under the supervision of a more experienced colleague, and it should not be one of the first, more complex models You glue.
