Giltwood wicker "Trabant"

The town of Nowy Tomyszl is located in the western part of the Greater Poland Voivodeship, 60 km from Poznań. The city is famous in Poland and abroad for its business and art of weaving from giltwood wickers. Walking around the city, You can see quite a few figures, woven from wicker. The most important of them are the giant bag, which even got into the Guinness Book of Records, concert chants, Wigloo. In the Park, named after Felix Szoldrski, there is the only Museum of Weaving and Hop Cultivation in Poland. Among the numerous exhibits gathered there, a life-size braided model of the "Trabant" car, which can even participate in road traffic, deserves special attention.
