GAZ-3102 - Soviet and Russian mid-range car, was supposed to be the successor of the GAZ-24 "Volga". GAZ-3102 was not intended for taxis or for mass sale. From the beginning it is aimed at middle-class officials. There were still a few private cars, but only in the hands of very special Soviet citizens, one way or another close to the government. By the end of the 1980s, mass production of these cars was supposed to begin, but the economic crisis and the collapse of the USSR meant, that all attempts by GAZ to start production of new business class cars were unsuccessful. Therefore, the production of the "directory" "Volga" with repeated updates lasted 27 years, until 2008 crisis, which is a record for the Gorky Automobile Plant. In total, approximately 156 thousand GAZ-3102 cars were produced, including 27 thousand in 1981-1992.

The model is not very complicated, so it can be recommended to a modeler of any experience, but a tip for the inexperienced: glue the model under the supervision of a more experienced colleague - it will be both easier and more fun. There is interior equipment of the cabin, detailing of the engine compartment, double-sided printing, color reserve. Bumpers, radiator grills and wheel covers are printed in gloss (chrome) on a separate sheet. The main difficulty is dividing the body (of course, the body is black) into many segments in order to more accurately convey the shape.
