L series “Ford” trucks are one of the longest produced (from 1970 to 1998) heavy class (class 8) models of the “Ford” company. Their characteristic feature was a massive hexagonal radiator. These trucks are produced in a new factory, opened near the city of Louisville in the state of Kentucky. The truck immediately got the nickname "Louisville", which was reflected in the model index of the car. In 1988 the design of the “Louisville” was revised and changed, and the name changed to the “AeroMax”. These trucks brought many innovative solutions to the production and construction of Class 8 cars, as well as aerodynamics. The front axle moved to the rear, allowed for the construction of front fenders with splay, and the bumper was rounded, which significantly reduced the frontal drag of the car. They also feature an Aero Bullet sleeping compartment, that is narrow in the cockpit area and widens towards the rear bulkhead. In 1991 the main flagship “AeroMax” 120 was produced, and in 1996 - the more modern “AeroMax” 9500. In 1998 “Ford Truck Company” sold the truck production division to “Freightliner”, which produced the same trucks, only called them “Stearling”. In 2008 the company discontinued the production of these trucks.

Although at first glance the model seems to be complicated due to its large dimensions, excellent design and fine detailing, but under the supervision of a more experienced colleague, it can be perfectly assembled by a complete version even by a modeler with little experience. It can be glued together by an advanced beginner modeler, working under the supervision of a more experienced colleague, and doing the opaque glass, not the cockpit, engine compartment detailing, but the transmission and suspension.
