STAR A28 – the Polish cistern - truck

"STAR" 28/29 is a Polish off-road truck, manufactured at the Truck Factory (“Fabryka Samochodów Ciężarowych” (FSC)) "STAR" in Starachowicze. The first examples of this model were produced in 1968, and serially produced in 1968-1983 ("STAR" 29) and 1968-1989 ("STAR" 28). Two different engines were installed in the cars: high compression diesel 100 h. p. power S530A1 ("STAR" 28) or gasoline 105 h. p. power S47A ("STAR" 29). Compared with the predecessors "STAR" 25 and "STAR" 27 and "STAR" 200, the new trucks differed only in more powerful engines, modernized gearbox and strengthened suspension. The design of the driver's cabin has also been changed, which was developed together with the French firm "Chausson", which ensured a high level of comfort for the driver. The main drawback of these cars was the control system, requiring a lot of effort from the driver and "heavy" brake and clutch pedals. In the course of production, several versions of the truck appeared: "STAR" C28 (trailer truck), "STAR" Ż28 (mobile crane), "STAR" BW28 (dump truck).

A simple model for beginners and less experienced modelers, recreating the STAR A28 cistern - truck. A model without internal equipment, consisting of a small amount of parts and so simple, that it can be perfectly assembled even by novice modelers without any help from more experienced colleagues.
