“Studebaker” was founded in 1736 in South Bend, Indiana. It has been producing cars since 1902. It was one of the largest manufacturers of passenger cars in the United States. 20th century in the late thirties, they started to compete successfully in truck production as well. They were produced by order of the US Army. Contracts were also signed with French, Belgian, Dutch and Chinese customers. The car "Studebaker US-6" was built in 1941 according to the requirements of the US Army. Similar trucks were built almost at the same time by “GMC” and “International”. The US-6 stood out for its unusually durable and powerful Hercules JXD engine. After the signing of the Lend-Lease Act, this model became the main one, offered to the Allies. Of the almost 200,000 cars produced, about half of them ended up in the USSR. Studebaker US-6 is produced in 13 modifications with different distance between the axles and 2 or 3 driven axles, some of the cars are equipped with winches. In addition to the main version of the cargo truck, a small number of tankers, tipper trucks, semi-trailers were produced. Despite the external similarity to the GMC CCKW truck, practically had nothing in common with it. Production of the Studebaker US-6 was discontinued in the spring of 1945.

A complex, well-designed and richly detailed model with "full stuffing" - engine compartment, cabin interior, cargo platform with awning, well-detailed chassis and exterior. In short, a model for specialists.
