Truck crane KS-2561D based on ZIL-130. ZIL-130 is a Soviet truck, produced by the plant named after Likhachev. One of the most popular Soviet trucks. In total, ZIL -130 produced 3,380,000 vehicles. For the first time in the Soviet automotive industry the ZIL-130 introduced power steering, a synchronized gearbox, a new design of driveline joints, a three-seater cabin, a windshield washer, an engine pre-heater and other innovations. The KS-2561D truck crane with a lifting capacity of 6.3 tons is an improved model of the AK-75V crane. Produced since 1968 at the Balashinkhinsky crane plant, Drogobych crane plant, mechanical repair plants in Kiev and Brovary, Kyiv region and at the Poltava Electromachine Plant (since 1972). The KS-2561D crane had modifications: KS-2561DA and KS-2561DA-01. The main boom is 8 m long. The crane mechanisms are controlled electro-pneumatically from the crane operator’s cabin. Truck cranes KS-2561 and its modifications (later KS-2561K and KS-2561K-1) have been produced for more than 20 years at various factories and can rightfully be considered one of the most popular truck cranes. They are quite widely used in the Lithuanian SSR and already independent Lithuania in agriculture and industry and in building.
The model has a medium level of detail. The pattern sheets are double printed, where needs. The engine compartment, control cabin, frame and transmission are fairly well restored, but the crane equipment could have been more detailed. The biggest drawback is the very faint bend lines on the black parts (or none at all). After searching for photos and working with computer graphics programs, it is quite easy to rework this model into a "Lithuanian" one.
