GAZ-51 (Rus. ГАЗ-51) - Soviet truck, 1946-1975 produced at the Gorky Automobile Plant. ~3.48 million produced. units. This car was also produced in Poland (as “Lublin-51”), North Korea (as “Sungri-58”), China (as “Yuejin NJ130”). The car was quickly assembled, widely adapted, and had a relatively high speed at that time. At that time there was a high demand for trucks, because the country's economy, which had been devastated by the war, needed to be rebuilt. The standard GAZ-51 model was a flatbed truck with a length of 5715 mm, width of 2280 mm, height of 2130 mm, wheelbase of 3300 mm, weight of 2710 kg, body height from the ground of 245 mm. The truck's carrying capacity is ~2.5 t. The car was powered by a 6-cylinder, 3.5-liter, 70 h. p. gasoline engine. GAZ-51 developed a speed of up to 70 km/h. Many modifications of the GAZ-51 have been developed. The main modifications were from 1955 the updated GAZ-51A and all-wheel drive GAZ-63 are produced. Other modifications were adapted to use the car as a dump truck, military truck, cargo taxi, tractor, truck crane, fire truck, etc., modifications with gas engines, with additional fuel tanks. GZA-651 bus, GZA-653 sanitary car, based on GAZ-51 body.
The model has a well-detailed cabin interior, cargo platform, average chassis and engine compartment. The publication is equipped with pieces of transparent thin plastic for window glazing, where necessary, the details are printed with double-sided printing. A moderately complex, well-designed and moderately detailed model for a modeler of any experience. Only advanced beginners and modelers with little experience should glue it under the supervision of a more experienced colleague and simplify something - do not make transparent windows, cabin interior, engine compartment detailing, simple chassis detailing.
